Is this build a good idea?

Hey guys this is my first build and im feeling kinda nervous 😀, just wanted to ask for the advice of the good people on the internet so here it is:
Primarily using this pc for gaming with a bit of a mish mash of other activities

Mostly concerned that the psu is overkill. ideas?

If you are not planning on overclocking (non-K CPU selected), you don't need the Z270 board. A less expensive board will save you some $. The 750W PSU is overkill for the GTX 1060 if you want to save more $. That system with the GTX 1060 will run on a PSU as small as 450W. Not that I would recommend going that small, tho. But there's nothing wrong with the system if you like it as it is.

Yes, your right! That PSU is way overkill, you need 500w the most. If you want, maybe 550w to be more future proof.
Maybe you should consider the new 580's from AMD, they generally beat the 1060 and they look that are better positioned for future games, better optimized. If you have budget, go with 580 Red Devil Golden Sample, they are clocked over 1400Mhz out of the box.
Also would get a bigger SSD, 128gb fills pretty fast!
