hi i'm building a new computer and i was wondering if this build was any good my goal is to play at 1080p on high settings mostly newer games

Build is decent. I would go with faster ram though. Ideally at least 2666mhz but 3200mhz would be best.

Ditch the x370 board and get a b350. Nothing the x370 has over the b350 like sli is being used anyways. Save some money and get yourself a cryorig h7 cooler and faster ram.

Ditch the x370 board and get a b350. Nothing the x370 has over the b350 like sli is being used anyways. Save some money and get yourself a cryorig h7 cooler and faster ram.

well i planned on doing crossfire when i got money for another gpu and i liked that this board is capable of both in case i switch down the road

Multi gpu support is low at best and a good implementation of it is rare to find. The few games that have it and where it actually gives extra performance instead of staying the same or even lowering perfomance when multiple gpu's are used are not worth it.

Just sell your 580 once you want to upgrade and get the next step up.
