I'm building a PC for the first time and have assembled a part list. As far as i can tell there aren't any incompatibilities, but I'm looking for a more experienced builders opinion on whether they'll result in a working PC before i commit to buying.

It will work.
Most people have absolutely no need for 32GB of memory.
Buy a higher quality power supply.
I would get the EVO SSD not the Pro and just start with a 2TB hard drive you can always add extra drives as needed.
Lowers the price, gets a higher quality power supply and upgrades to a GTX 980 video card.

You could fit in 32GB but unless your running very memory intensive work programs it's not needed for a bit over your original build.

No, that's just a bad build, overpriced motherboard, overkill ram, overpriced HDD, SSD, crap PSU. I made him a build much better for less money.

HDD is good, memory doesnt really play difference if its in single channel, dual channel or quad channel. He can allways add 2x8gbs more if he needs 32gb(dont know why)
