GPU: GTX 1050 2gb ($80 used, practically new)
CPU: AMD Ryzen 1300X ($160)
Heatsink: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO ($35)
Mobo: ASUS Prime B350-PLUS ($125)
DDR4 RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB Kit ($130)
PSU: Corsair CX600 (already owned for about 5 years)
OS: Windows 10 64 ($135)
HDD: Seagate Firecuda ST1000LX015 ($75)
Case: NZXT Phantom (free)

total = $710 CAD

I'm looking to play games like Fortnite, Overwatch, CSGO on low-medium at 120-200fps.
Single player games like Fallout 4, Skyrim on medium-high at 60-120fps.

I'm buying the 1050 that came with a prebuilt PC, it's only been used for about a month. My budget is $850 and I'm trying to get the most value I can, which is why I'm building it around a recently used 1050. I may want to upgrade to a 1060 or something in the future. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Not a bad budget build at all. I'd look at a Cryorig H7, which passed the Hyper 212 in the budget air cooler category a few years ago. I'd also keep a PSU replacement in the back of my mind; at five years, the meh-grade capacitors in an old Corsair CX are likely on their last legs and you're out of warranty.
