Hello, im new to building computers. Ive been intrested in a build i came up with. I would like some expert tips.
Cpu: Ryzen 5 1600 (should i go with the ryzen 7 1700?)
mobo: MSI B350 Tomohawk (latest bios will be installed)
Storage: 8gb of ram, 500gb ssd, 2tb hard drive. (Also will i be able to add any more hard drives after?)
GPU: Asus GTX 1060 Dual
Case: DeepCool Teseract SW (ATX case)
My budget is 1000 dollars so take that into consideration. I got a 500gb ssd from someone. So take out the price of that.

This is pretty much an upgrade in every area using full advantage of your budget. You can add more hard drives later.

6 cores vs. 8 cores how many do you need ?
There's second generation of Ryzen, 2600 and 2700 with higher frequency and price may be comparable.
Any of those is more than good enough for that GPU, no problems there.
RAM is not storage, 3000 - 3200MHz would be best buy.
There are connectors for 4 SATA drives + one for M.2 NVME/SATA drive so that's your limit on drive number.

This should be good...
