Hi! Im building my first gaming PC and wanted to ask you guys if this is an ok combo. Kinda assume some components might be an "overkill" for me so just checking with you:

CPU: i5-8600k (plan to overclock it to 4.7-4.8 max)
GPU: 1070 ti Strix (plan to overclock it to the max)
MOBO: asrock z370 extreme 4
COOLER: be quiet! dark rock pro 4
PSU: CORSAIR RMx Series RM750x
RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB (3000)
CASE: CoolerMaster h500(just h500, not P not M)

with 500 ssd and 1TB HDD it hits around $1300

Thank you and happy black friday hunting!

If you change the PSU/CPU cooler you could probably get a Z390 motherboard & 9600K which is soldered and will allow for a higher OC.

As for the Crucial SSD I would get the M.2 version as it connects directly to the motherboard so less cable management (speed is identical to SATA version).

Didnt realize z390 + 9600k are in the same price range with what i chose. What would u recommend for PSU and cooler then? H5 universal would do?

I'd change the PSU to the RMx 650W if cheaper or look at the Seasonic Focus Gold (or Plus). If your in the US the EVGA G3 650W is on sale for $50 at Newegg and is a good unit although not as good as the Seasonic. I'd change the CPU cooler to the Dark Rock 4 as it will allow you to still get a high overclock.

Just checked some reviews and comparisons between 9600k and 8600k, when overclocked to the same level they dont really perform different Do you think 9th gen is better cuz i might push 9600k a bit further? Or is there smth i missed about 9600k?

No problem, you can't go wrong with either as both of those CPU's at 4.8ghz+ will crush any game out there currently at any resolution as long as it's paired with a good GPU.
