Hi, im building a new pc and could use a little help. This is what I came up with.

https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/s9B8KB

I have 2 questions.

1. I'm going to wait until nvidia releases their next set of video cards. I'm not sure what their name is going to be but if its in the 2000s I'll probably get the 2070. Since I'm building the rest of my pc now, do you expect an intel i7-8700k to be a good match for the video card I'll be getting?

2. Basically just wondering if all the parts i picked are compatible. I did some research and pcpartpicker says its fine but thought I'd ask just to be certain.

Thanks.

Great PSU.
MB - at this price, i'd go for ASUS ROG Strix Z370-F. it's more of a MB with better VRM and sound and less of a christmas tree toy.
RAM will work as long as it is DDR4. don't forget about timings CL14 would be great. though you'd probably want to play with timings after putting all together. you can get them much lower (which increases both memory bandwidth and responsiveness) then default ones.
Saved you $300 & made your build better.

1.i don't think there will be another refresh from coffeecake anytime soon, so 8700k will be still your top choice.
you may still need to put a mild oc on the 8700k to get the most out of the graphic card. From all the reviews, it seems that air cooler can't cool 8700k beyond 4.7Ghz all core .
so if you would like to get higher OC. you would either delid the cpu and replace the tim, or get a 240 AIO or both.

2.like other mentioned, picking a 3200 c14 kit or 3600 ddr4 kit will be good, also it's good to have a nvme ssd instead of sata ssd since you are already spending this much.

Thanks so much for the help. Ok so how about this:

EVGA supernova 650 g3
Gigabyte Z370 aorus gaming 5 (rev1.0) lga1151 ATX
G.skill ripjaws 2x8gb ddr4 3000

Also some of the RAM im looking at says z170, does that mean it wont work with a z370 motherboard?
