i want to build a new rig this is what im thinking so far. dont want to spend over 1200 so any input would be great. i have never built before so please correct me if you see something i need to do or missed. also this is for gaming and normal use i dont video edit or anything.

i dont know anything about coolers so info on such things would be great if you think i need something different for this build. i play to over clock it a little.

Since your not editing, you do not need the i7. Ive chose components that I feel are much better than what you have selected besides your motherboard which is a good motherboard. I have also included an OPERATING SYSTEM because i wasnt sure you needed one. Since this is a new rig im sure you do.

so having a i-7 is pointless unless i video edit? what about in the next year or to as games evolve would it be better to have something i dont need now that would work for me possibly in the futre? i dont mind paying a little more now to get a extra year or more out of the rig when it comes to gaming. also do you feel the msi radeon r9 390x is better than the gtx 970? how does it fall if i decided to over clock??

also i think i want this case. not the one i posted earlier i really like the looks of it. i know cases will be personal preference for most. and while im talking about it is it possible to switch out the red led fan in front to a blue one? die hard dallas fan and the blue silver setup would be awesomne
