Hello, i want to buy a new computer so i decided to start with the following:
Psu: Corsair cx650m 80 plus bronze
Motherboard: Asus Tuf Z370-Plus Gaming
CPU: i5 8400
GPU: don't know what is good for this config.
RAM: 2x8gb (still don't know what brand/model should i buy)
SSD: i don't know about ssd.
Hd: 1tb sata3 western digital.

What gpu and ssd should i buy? Also is this setup well?

Thank you for your help

couple i know of. the psu is poor. high failure rate. the cpu is good. for a gpu id say start with a 1060 6gb up to a 1080 depending on resolution. ssd's have pretty much evened out in the quality so any 200+gb model is good. you dont need a z series mobo if no overclocking.

Just saying, that CX650M was perfectly fine. There is not a high failure rate, that is misinformation, probably confused with the old CX models. Also, the only thing keeping that PSU from tier 2 on that list is the fan, which has nothing to do with the CPU.

And there is no such thing as a "third tier" unit. It's just what one web page names it.

Thanks for all the replies. Let me update:
Psu: xfx xtr 650
Motherboard: Asus Tuf Z370-Plus Gaming (have to change this but idk what to buy)
CPU: i5 8400
GPU: gtx 1060 6gb
RAM: 2x8gb (still don't know what brand/model should i buy)
SSD: any 200gb
Hd: 1tb sata3 western digital

About mobo i read that it should be z370 because it is 8th generation. What mobo should i use instead of it.
