Is this build optimal for 144hz gaming at 1440p?

Been researching parts for a build and I think I've got what I'm looking for, but before I go ahead just like to make sure everything fits together and ask the more experienced lot of you for potential advice

Thats a beast build, I would go with the 1080ti though.

yeah a 1080Ti would be nice if you can fit that in
also you won't need a 750W PSU, 650W is fine with the 1080Ti, 550W with the 1080

if you need to reduce costs for a 1080Ti:
downgrade the case to a Fractal Design R5 or a Thermaltake Suppressor (quality silent cases)
go for a 650W PSU
pick a slightly cheaper MoBo like the ASRock Fatal1ty

I would go for the 1080ti, but money wise I'm already slightly over my budget, and tbh I'll probably only get an extra 10-20 frames with it

I'm not just going for performance on my system, but looks too, and I'm worried downgrading some parts will make my PC look worse overall, specifically the case.

I'll look into the mobo and see if I can save some money on that, and I'll do what you said for the psu.

If you're spending that much already you need that 1080ti to get close to 144fps at 1440p. Definitely reduce case and psu cost to get it within budget.

wouldn't use a Founders Edition card in a full tower build
you got a really nice silent case, get a 1080Ti with 2 or 3 fans, not a Founders Edition

didn't know you needed WiFi, the Strix ain't too bad when you need WiFi as this combo would be even more expensive than the Strix board

Obviously moved to a R7 1700 CPU+MB but kept the big Kraken cooler. Slightly flashy LED RAM. Black/red MSI GTX1080Ti to keep an overall red/black theme.
Contentious change is to move to a Freesync 144Hz IPS monitor, Gsync is only really helpful at low FPS, and I can't see this type of system dropping below 60FPS, hence the cost saving move.
