Is this build worth it right now? (My first build)

I'm currently using MSI GX70, which its gpu gets bottlenecked.
And I came up with this build.

1.The budget is around $1400.
2.This will be a gaming dedicated PC and I want your opinions on how well it will perform, or what component should i add or change.
3.I'll game on 1080p
4.I might go for SLI gtx970 once the price drops.
5.What games do I play - Star Citizen, Black Desert, and other AAA titles.

Can you tell us specifically what games you play also imo it's a very solid build, if you want to sli you should wait until most games get dx12 support to get VRAM stacking.

Its a good build but I am not keen on sli 970's as your currently limited to 3.5gb of efficient VRAM and it introduces the issues associated with sli. DX12 is a real unknown, no one knows how well VRAM stacking will work and I expect it to be a couple of years until DX12 is the standard for all new games.

Now as the 6600k and 6700k perform the same in games could you drop to a 6600k, add a little more to the budget and get a 980Ti. This way you get similar performance to sli 970's with 6gb VRAM and no associated sli ussues

Since this is a new, from the scratch build, why not go for dd4? Price difference is not extremely material.

It is enough as long as you won't sli it. If you will, get at least 850w.

It is enough as long as you won't sli it. If you will, get at least 850w.
