Hi all, I would like your opinions. I’m planning to buy a refurbished PC and the company offers to build the PC for me. I would like to know is this worth it? Or should I snoop around for something else? My price range was $800NZD or under and he said: Can do the following for $851NZD including GST, would be bang on $800NZD if you wanted to stick with a 250GB Hard Drive instead of 500

Dell Optiplex DT Spec:

Intel Core i5 3570 @ 3.40GHz QUAD CORE
EVGA GeForce GTX1050 Graphics Card 2GB
8GB DDR3 RAM
120GB Solid State Drive for Operating System & Apps
500GB SATA Hard Drive for Storage
DVD / CD Writer
2X USB 3.0, 6x USB 2.0, VGA, 2x Display Port, PS/2, HD AUDIO, Serial
Gigabit Ethernet
Windows 10 Pro
Comes with a 23" Monitor

Feel free to ask me for more info. I would just like to hear what you guys think, is this worth my money?

Thanks a lot
Ivan

Solution
Exchanging the currencies 800NZD equals to 475 euros or 590USD. With the 1050 and the monitor the price is about right.
The processor worth $(US)100-150, the gpu another $150-200, 8GB RAM $50, SSD + HDD $50, case and OS $150, monitor, motherboard, PSU ??? those really depend on make and model, but there may be some space for bargain left.

I would go for a i7 4790 rig, 3rd gen is more outdated, if you have to get a new motherboard to that system, it will be hard to find one.

Solution
That 3570 will struggle with the current crop of AAA games to give you consistent 60fps at high settings (provided ur gpu can also handle that graphics settings, which it can't)

With a gtx 1050, u r good for medium high 720p AAA gaming @ 60fps.

It won't be a problem for esports like cs go, dota, overwatch, world of War craft but this won't be enough for pubg.

So for esports, u can consider a 2 year lifetime for that pc.
