The 8400 all the way is the better build for now and the future. The only slight change I would make is the motherboard and change it to the Z370 as that will allow for an upgrade to the 'K' series and more importantly to the 9th Gen CPU's coming out next month in the 9600K, 9800K and 9900K which will allow you to move to 8 core when you next look to upgrade.

The cheapest Z370 like the MSI Z370 GAMING PLUS at $89 or the ASRock Pro 4 at $100...better bet for the future...

The 650$ build is the better of the 2 overall. I would however change out the psu rather sooner than later since the one it has is pretty crap.

what about this build??

That's not worth the money at all. Way to much for a used system that only has those specs.

I would still go the 8400 route as it is 8th gen versus the older 6700K and it is still plenty fast with great results on gaming and will more than suit the 1060...

Why do they all have 1year next to them?

Of the systems listed, the second one is the only one I'd trust. 16GBs ram, full 6GB 1060, SSD and HDD for storage, etc. Both of the other systems all have issues with them that would make me not want to buy them. As mentioned above however, at $750 that's simply too much for used system. For $750 you could build a new system. There are builds all over online for ~$750 and would be brand new instead of used.

Brand new.

It means that the owner has used the system for about a year before deciding to sell it.I will be going to their homes to check the functionality of the components haha.If you don't mind could you state the issues that you see with the other options?

Thanks but unfortunately i am not familiar with AMD components at all hahha , so i don't think i will be building an amd set up anytime soon (even tho its much more cost effectiveness),but thanks anyways

Just like intel and nvidia amd just works. This system is pretty much the I5 8400 system (best of the ones you listed) with a better psu and new.

It means that the owner has used the system for about a year before deciding to sell it.

It means the owner *claims* to have ran it for a year. There is little chance three different computers, all with different series CPUs, have all been ran for ~1yr. The 8400 maybe seeing as that's a rather new CPU. But the 6700 came out in Q3 of 2015. That makes the CPU at the oldest 3yo, most likely 2yo. I wouldn't let the claims of the seller sway you. Every used car being sold was gently drove by someone's grandma. Every PC has parts that were never OC'd or mined on right? Claims are easy to make. Please don't fall for them.

I do agree that you should look to building one. Even an AMD like above. If you don't think you can build it I'm sure there are people you know who would do it for you. You should be able to swap out parts if you want something else. But many people build $750 systems. Don't by a used system for $750+ when a new one is very doable.

You can add in an SSD later. Also, for the OS, you can download the ISO off Microsoft and install it but not activate it. It will work just as well as a licensed version but there will be a watermark and you cannot change the wallpaper.

I did not add the SSD here, but you can step the GPU down to a 1060 and add in an SSD if you really want one.

Thank you guys so much for the feedback, as such i will be building a new pc.Taking the advice to considerstion what do you guys think of this build ? (Similar to the $650 build and ArchitSahu)

MERGED QUESTION
Question from 5855rasa : "Worth the build ($770)? New to Pc building."

That build isn't bad but a small SSD isn't ideal.
Take a look at this: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wCvxV6
The linked build could go down to 8GB RAM and move up to a 8GB RX580 or 1060 6GB as well.

Drop the Z370 to a B360, H370 or H310. Use the money saved to get the 6 GB version of the card. But first, get a better PSU. That is not good at all.

That psu should not be used.
