Is this card good or bad?

i might be taking this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121926&nm_mc=OTC-Iceleads&cm_mmc=OTC-Iceleads-_-ASUS-_-Video+Card+-+Nvidia-_-14121926 graphics card, but i see pretty much negative reviews, is it worth taking the risk or do i need to choose a different one?

It's not a bad video card, but I suggest that you should wait the end of the summer, because nowadays release new gpus, and the price of this card can be lower.

If you can stand the fan noise maybe? Personally I'd look elsewhere - I have the 970 Strix from Asus (my third Strix GPU, I like them a lot) and it's superb.

Generally GPU prices do not drop when a new product is released. Vendors just let them sit a their price until they sell.

In this case, it looks like the GTX1070 is being priced higher then expectations, so there will be a about a $100 price gap between the 970 and the 1070.
