First time building a PC and i know roughly what i want for an average gaming PC.
I wouldn't say I'm a tech genius, but i had a friend help me with this once before.

It will fit just fine... need a dvd rom though?

And depending on the ambient temps, maybe get a aftermarket cooler? coolmaster 212 or something like it.

Ryzen 1500x with 16gb ram for $30 more.

Trust me , you want the ryzen over the i5.
There's not one scenario where that i5 holds a candle to the ryzen.

The 1400 is a 4core/thread cpu. The 1600 is the 6c/12t

I would advise directly investing into 16GB RAM at this price point. Yes, you won't use the 16GB fully anytime soon most probably, but 8GB tends to be at it's limit when playing modern games at high details. And the 12GB middle-path doesn't make sense, as it would fill all 4 DIMM slots on your mainboard (-> bad upgrade path).

Other than that, it seems fine tho.
