the 9590 is not nearly as good as a 4460 in gaming and most other applications

here is a comparison with an i5

More cores and higher clock means almost nothing when comparing 2 processors that are from completely different families and have different architectures

Do you need a power supply?

TRUST me you dont want the 9590, its not good at all for gaming and is so power hungry and runs so hot.

I have everything else, that I need really.

I was thinking of the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO CPU Cooler?

UK and about £400 but a friend is already giving me the RAM and GPU so it's really CPU and Mobo I'm concerned about.

Got a case, monitor, RAM, GPU, peripherals. All it is is CPU and Mobo really.

So what would I have to get to involve the AMD FX-9590 4.7Ghz Octo Core?

Just build me a full PC if you would, I mean I can always say no to his parts, one that would be good for gaming for about £400-£500 😀

honestly some of the parts he gave you are pretty decent and the ram is 1600mhz, it will say 800 mhz but some programs list half the actual speed and 800mhz ddr3 does not exist.

what are the other parts he got you specifically, like the case and the power supply? It will give me an idea on what you should buy.
