So i have an old pc build:
Motherboard: Gigabyte H81M-DS2
Processor: i5 3.2 Hz
Case: stock case that comes with old prebuilt normal pc
Ram: 4gb

So i wanted to upgrade from my old AMD Radeon r7 200 gpu to an MSI rx 470, is this possible or do i have to change like the motherboard and stuff? thanks in advance

You may need to upgrade the PSU:

http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm

And RAM amount can also hold you back in some situations, so may want to consider that as well:

Note: Installing matched kits is always recommended to avoid insidious compatibility issues in RAM (don't add to what you have)

But the processor isn't substantially different than the newer i5's. Any additional money is better spent on more GPU/PSU.

ok thx so my PSU is 350 W
So, aside from that it should be ok? and is it better to buy the MSI rx 470 ($150) or the 480 (220)?
Sorry im kinda new here thx a lot and also any reccomendations for the ram?

Depends on what your total budget for upgrade is, of course....but the RX 480 is incrementally better than the 470 (the big difference in that line occurs between the 460->470).

For PSUs, just use the above wattage guide and match it up to this quality guide:

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html

Tier 1 & 2 PSUs being best for stable gaming systems over time.

For RAM, you're looking for two matched sticks (sold as a pair, so you know it's tested to flawlessly work together) of DDR3 1600......8Gb (two 4gb sticks).

ok yea im thinking of buying the g skill 8 gb ram and the msi rx 470
about the gpus, do you think i should buy 470 480 or 1060 3gb considering my build right now
Thanks 😀

oo so i should just get rx 470? which is better 1060 or 470 thx again

The 1060 is on the same plane as the 480, so would be better than a 470.

I tend to like the AMD offering at this price point though right now as both the 470 and 480 can be paired (Crossfired) in the future if you want higher resolutions or frame-rate (whereas the 1060's cannot):

But more importantly they work with FreeSync monitors:

Which is a very affordable way to get adaptive sync in your next monitor upgrade (which are less expensive than the Nvidia counterpart, Gsync:

Im sorry i ask so many questions lol, so i found out that my PSU is a 400 W Venom RX.
Then, i am still thinking which gpu im going to buy, these are the choices:
RX 470:

or
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814137050&cm_re=rx_470-_-14-137-050-_-Product

Rx 480:

For the RAM i chose:

Any opinions on these? and do i need to up my PSU? im so sorry again i ask soo many questions haha
The rx 470 is 150 or 165 and the 480 4 gb is $180 so im not really sure which to pick, plus im scared that i have to upgrade alot of things if i want the rx 480 haha
Thanks a lot for answering these it really helps and i really appreciate you guys!

Go with the 480 4gb version you have linked above. Thats a good price you are getting it at.

This is the cheapest quality psu right now fulfilling your wattage requirements, so you can go with this... https://pcpartpicker.com/product/nB3RsY/seasonic-power-supply-s12ii620bronze
