The answer for you question is : yes , you will able tu run it.

My recommendation? don't go for it, you will get a bottleneck between mobo-GPU.

There is no bottleneck but I did just notice a major issue, the mother board you selected is a H81 board which is mean't for intel processors. You need an AM3+ socket motherboard to run the FX chip.

Mobo supports PCI 2.0 and the GPU can run at 3.0.

Btw, as you said, its a wrong mobo, be sure to pick a mobo which handle pci 3.0 for full performance.

PCI 2.0 vs 3.0 offers very small performance gains. But most newer AM3+ boards have PCI 3.0 anyways

The FX series is getting old (Based on the 32nm process) You would be better off going with an i3 6100 or entry level i5 you would benefit more performance wise and if you'd like to you can use pcpartpicker.com to help to see if everything is compatible plus compare prices.
