Hi

So, finally after looking around and finding different components, I have arrived to the below configuration.

CPU: AMD FX 8350
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA 990FX UD5 Rev 3.0
RAM: GSkill Ripjaws 8 GB(4x2)
HD : WD Blue 1 TB
PSU : Corsair VS650 - 650W

GPU : Asus AMD/ATI R9 280X Direct CUII 3GB GDDR5 (Decided for now)

I have already bought these components, but I haven't purchased the GPU yet.

I'd like to know :

1. Is this good for casual Gaming ? (Watch dogs, FC3 etc etc. )
2. The most important requirement: Running 3 Monitors, will this config be good enough?
3. Is the PSU enough for this config?

Waiting for the replies.

Thanks :)

I've herd of people running out with only 3. I only use 1 but i go over a gig on occasion.
YES that card is amazing. Here is a good chart on it's performance. As yu can see, the card is a beast and is much cheaper than it's Nvidia counterparts. Also, 3GB of VRAM is enough for a 4 monitor setup so no worries there.

Casual gaming ? I doubt watch dogs and far cry 3 would be considered as causal. they are quite demanding games. Your screen resolution combined would also matter if you're planning eyefinity.

The Corsair VS650 would work fine, but it's not of the highest quality. you might want to spend on something better. It shouldn't cost a lot more.

Casual gaming refers to the persons play style not the graphics requirements of the game...

Also I'd recommend more v ram if you plan on running 3 monitors at 1080. at least 4g. you will use over a gig a monitor

If you are gaming on three monitors, you will need some sort of a dual gpu solution.

If you are gaming on one monitor and use the other two as side monitors, then you are ok.

Your graphics card is the most popular R9-280X sold on newegg.
But, the reviews would give me pause. 26% of verified owners gave it the lowest rating of 0 eggs.

Thanks for the replies.

So, the idea is to use 3 Dell Monitors (21") with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution.

Also, i will be using eyefinity while gaming, 3GB won't be enough for it?
I don't really want to go above 3GB range (or using dual GPUs) as i've heard the 20nm cards are coming next year and I'll be eventually moving to buy one of those.

One thing I want to know here is if this card will give good performance + good cooling + multiple monitor easy setup all together?

Is this GPU Worth purchasing, and can the 650W PSU handle the load?

Yes, that card is the best for your problem. I don't believe that you'll need more than 3GB of VRAM, I've ran that setup and I didn't have any problems. It is definitely worth the price and yes, it can but I would get a 700W PSU just in case you want to OC.
