Hi all - I am considering buying a ThinkPad P1 (which has a base price of £1,449 or ~$1,800) but with the following specs, which brings the price to £3,200 or ~$4,000; my question is, is it worth the cost? My intention is to use this P1 to link to 3 external displays (I am going to buy 3x ThinkVision 27" monitors and also 1x ThinkPad's Thunderbolt 230W USB-C dock). I am mainly going to use this P1 for doing all the following simultaneously: (1) running multiple large Excel spreadsheets, (2) working on multiple PowerPoint presentations, (3) viewing multiple Adobe PDFs, (4) opening dozens of Chrome tabs and (5) playing several VLC videos, all at the same time, which is why I need the spec upgrades as detailed below.

Link to the base (£1,449/~$1,800) model: https://www.lenovo.com/gb/en/laptops/thinkpad/p-series/ThinkPad-P1/p/22WS2WPP101

Tbh.It's like i said if i had to pay 1200 usd for a rtx2080ti then they bloody hell hope that thing is made of gold(in my currency its 30k my whole pc only cost 17k)Well if you want a work horse then meh i guess but personally i would go with custom build.I am a sucker for a custom build as you can add your own flavor to it.It's still 4k usd hell you can get a proper 9900k system with that money.
