Hi guys,

I currently have an i5-9400f and the stock cooler is not sufficient for good cooling. This is why I was looking into other air cooling options. I ran into the cooler by CM called the Hyper 212 which seems to have a lot of good reviews. I was wondering if this cooler would be sufficient for my CPU. I mostly just do gaming on the PC. Also another question I have is my case says it can support CPU coolers upto 160mm and the hyper212 website says the height of the cooler is 158.8mm. I know it numerically means I can use the cooler, but since there is only 1.2mm difference between the max and the actual height will this cause any issues when i try use this cooler in my case?

Here are the links for both items:

Thank you in advance.

It should, you could try and see what the Arctic Freezer 34 eSports Duo costs in your area, it's a little shorter and somewhat better.

The measurements are usually quite accurate, but there are exceptions.
Thank you for your advice, but the only cooler by arctic in my area is the Arctic Freezer 13 CO which seems like it is quite old if I am not mistaken. Do you think this is a better option than the Hyper 212?

No, it is outclassed these days, unfortunately.
How about the Be Quiet Pure Rock 2?
Or Noctua NH-U12S?
Scythe Mugen 5 Rev.b?
The Scythe is only one not available, but the Pure Rock 2 is more in my budget and actually fit the aesthetics of my case better than any other cooler mentioned. I think I have found my new CPU cooler! Thank you so much :)
