I have the Asus G731GW laptop and when playing for long duration my CPU temp reaches 90-94 C while the GPU reaches a maximum of 80 . to keep things cool I've lifted up the laptop a little bit with wooden coasters and place a small cooling fan next to it with blades set downwards to provide cool air for intake at the bottom.
However, since the air cooler operates by filling water into it to cool the fan air. I'm afraid of possible condensation or so that might affect the laptop later on. what do you think? is this a bad idea ?
please note that there is a 8 degree C drop when using this method.

If it blows water out I would say that probably isn't a good Idea. But if it is just cool air why not? Have you tried cleaning out the air vents with a vacuum hose?
i bought the laptop 3 days ago, i doubt it needs any air vent cleaning. but ive been testing out other things and i think i just need to lift it up and let air get to the intake because a small USB fan did the trick too.

Your setup is not clear to me.

But, I would not want any chance for water vapor to reach any parts.
Laptop cooling is a challenge because of the limited space and the need for low weight.

So long as the intakes and exhaust vents are clear, that is about as good as you can expect to do.

The throttle point is around 100c.

so anything less than 90C for extended periods is more than okay for a laptop ?
