This isn't really about overclocking but I wasn't sure where to put it so here goes...

My RAM is DDR3 1333MHz, DDR as far as I am aware stands for Double Data RAM. In CPU ID and various other programs which supply similar data my DRAM frequency is 669.7MHz which as we all know is roughly half 1333MHz. So is DRAM just single data RAM and therefore x2 for double data RAM would give 1333Mhz-ish or is my RAM running slow for some reason?

Thanks in advance

First option would be correct. The frequency is half of 1333 because it is transferred at twice the speed.
So DDR 800MHz would have a 400mhz frequency, 1033Mhz would have something like 515mhz frequency...you get the point.
