Question Is this CPU Compatiable with this motherboard?

I'm trying to upgrade my computers cpu, i currently have an i3 6100 and i'm looking to upgrade to a better one. I was looking at the i5 9400f which i belive is compatiable with my motherboard i just wanted to make sure. My motherboard is the asus h110m r

Nope, the only compatible boards for the 9400F is the B365 & Z390 boards. Others that support it with a BIOS update are the H310, B360, H370 & Z370.

A I7-6700 or 7700 would fit on your mobo and would be a decent upgrade for a good price. Try to find one 2nd hand, there should be plenty on the market right now because a lot of people are upgrading.

Or if you have a bigger budget, buy a new mobo (b450/X570) with a ryzen 5 3600. This would be a major upgrade and will last you a long time. If I am not wrong you can keep your ram (Would be best if it's above 3000 MHz to get the most performance tho).
