I am going to be doing a good amount a PC gaming and I was wondering if the AMD FX-4350 4.2GHz Quad-Core Processor would be enough.

Solution
Getting an intel i5 would be a better choice like the 4460 or even 4430 like mine is perfectly fine plus its not nearly as old as the the FX line and it will run cooler.

Yes for a mid-low range pc. The alternative is a lowish end Intel i3 for slightly more $$:

(I reckon £10-£30 more, ~20%)

People here will probably be a little biased to Intel or AMD, depending on which they have installed :p I would check out the reviews for the i3 and FX4350 to see which you think is better

Any FX-series processor is a bad bet for gaming, per-thread performance is king when it comes to games. To get full performance out of a 970 you really need a quad-core i5 processor (the cheapest 4-series model would be sufficient).
