Hello, I have always wanted to build my own custom pc so I can play games and also make videos and render them, however I don't know if my pc is that good. My price budget is around $600-$650. Here are the components:

AMD FD6300WMHkBOX FX-6300 Six-Core 3.5GHz AM3+ Processor - AM3+, Six-Core, 3.5GHz, 14MB, 95W, Unlocked

EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB GDDR5 Graphics Card

ASUS M5A97 R2 0 Motherboard

Western Digital 1TB Caviar Green SATA 6Gbps Desktop Hard Drive

Corsair CX500 V2 CX Series CP-9020047-US 500W Power Supply

Wintec Value DDR3 8GB SODIMM Module

Coolermaster RC-912-KKN1 HAF 912 Chassis

I also would like to know if the components I have chosen are compatible with each other, I'm pretty sure they are, but I want to double check with you guys just incase I buy a computer piece and its not going to be compatible with the computer.

Sincerely, Steve.

Technically your build is compatible but it has some issues

1. You'll want an aftermarket cooler for that CPU as the one that comes with the CPU is awful
2. The caviar green is very slow, you'll want a Caviar blue or Seagate barracuda
3. You should try and get 2x 4gb ram sticks so they can run in dual channel mode. Try and buya kit

You can get more for your money

Actually you wouldn't need the hyper evo with the i5 as the stock cooler is pretty good. Use the money save for an r9 280 :)

I think that overclocked though the 8350 will be better than the i5 at rendering....

As you can see here :http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/697?vs=1198
The i5 crushes the fx in single threaded applications and is around the same in multi-threaded applications. Not to mention better gaming performance from the i5

Hey guys thanks for helping, I would also like to know if the ThermalTake Water 3.0 Performer Liquid Cooler - 120mm, Intel LGA 2011, 1366, 1155, 1156, 1150, 775, AMD FM2, FM1, AM3+ is a good water cooling system and if its compatible with my pc I'm getting. Also, can my pc run bf3 or bf4 in ultra settings or high setting?

What processor are you going for? If you get the i5 a closed loop cooler is just a waste of money as non k i5 chips cannot be overclocked and the cooler than comes with the chip is plenty.

If you go with an fx chip you'll want a cooler as they consume (waste) more power and give off a lot of heat, plus the cooler they ship with is pretty rubbish. I wouldn't recommend a closed loop cooler though. They tend to be louder than air coolers and can leak. Get a good quality air cooler like the one I linked to. Use the money saved to buy a better graphics card instead.

ok thanks! 😀 however what type of intel i5 should I get that is compatible with the pieces I already have? Is this a good intel i5?
Intel Core i5 i5-4690 Quad-core (4 Core) 3.50 GHz Processor - Socket H3 LGA-1150Retail Pack

Yes that is a good i5 chip. You will need a H81, B85 or H97 motherboard to go with the i5. The motherboard in your first build will not work.

I would suggest this build for you...
