[SOLVED] Is this dangerous?

My friend gave me a 140mm fan with 120mm screw slots. It didn't fit in my case so I did this:

, screwed it into a hexagonal hole on my case. Is this setup at all dangerous?

Shouldnt be dangerous, but what happens if you move the fan about an inch to the left? Try and line it up with slots 1 and 2, instead of none and 3.

Unfortunately the round part of the fan does not allow it to be moved left. As soon as the slots to the left end, the metal goes down and restricts the fan from being placed there

Nah, if the screws are in there good it should be fine, I had to do something similar before.
