Is this decent for Arma III and Battlefield 4

Im thinking in getting a new pc and with the money i have at the moment i got this:

• 
  ASRock Fatal1ty B85 Killer Intel B85 SK1150
  Intel Core i5-4570 3.2GHz (3.6GHz Turbo) 6MB BOX
  Kingston DDR3 HyperX FURY Black 2x4GB 1600MHz Cas10
  Asus Radeon R7 260X DirectCU II OC 2GB DDR5 PCI-E

Is it decent enough?

Yes its a decent enough PC for medium gamign @ 50+ FPS, high @ 35+ FPS and ultra @ just playable 25 FPS on FHD.

It'll run Arma 3 without much worries on ultra with 40+ FPS but BF4 will struggle on Ultra with approx 20-30 FPS which can go down to 10-15 on multiplayer.

I'd say decent enough to play Arma 3 on Ultra and BF4 on High @ 35+ FPS.

I may pick Asus Radeon R9 270 DirectCU II OC 2GB GDDR5 PCI-E Instead, would you think it would be a greater improve or not at all?

That may be able to play high at 30-45 fps if you got a 270

yes it is decent you can play them at high to ultra settings.....

You'll see 5-10FPS improvement on High and 2-5FPS on Ultra in both the games, maybe a bit more in Arma 3. I don't think its worth $50 more. If you really wanna see some considerable improvement, like 10-15 FPS improvement on High and 7-10 FPS improvements on Ultra, get the R9 270X.

On BF4, with 270 you'll get Ultra @ 40-45FPS but on 270X you'll get it at 50+ FPS, and on Arma 3, about 50 FPS on ultra with 270 and 60+ FPS on 270X.

You'll have no problems playing those games on High, just make sure you only use FXAA or Post AA.

IMO no. But if you consider this build to last you 4+ years w/o much upgrade, then yes R9 270 is obviously better than R7 260X.

no the r9 270 is always better than 260x and the difference is not just 5 fps....see the charts and decide.......and in arma 3 the fps will be lower that the bf4.....the requirement of arma 3 is higher than bf4..

A 270 will be comfy with high segtings, a 260x will not.

a 500 watt psu would be enough for 270.....
