Sure, except you might need a B450 motherboard to ensure compatibility with the 2nd-gen Ryzen CPU.

This would be a lot better. You want the faster memory with Ryzen. Slow memory definitely affects performance on Zen platforms. And as mentioned, the B450 motherboard is a much better option since it will support the 2nd gen Ryzen CPU out of the box AND it has much better memory compatibility.
