Is this enough to power my graphics card?

Is 600 watts enough power to power a Sapphire TRI-X OC R9 290 4GB? I was using a 750 watt one and it died and I realised that 750 watts may have been too much?

There is no such thing as too much. The system draws what it needs. A good 600w PSU is the smallest I usually suggest using with a 290.
