Is this FPS normal for my spec in Crysis 3? 7950 HD GPU

I didn't even touch advanced graphical settings, I'm using windows 8 and the spec that you can see in the signature. Latest beta drivers.

Lowest fps 29, highest 60, and average 48. It drops to 30 quite a bit though.

Yep, as you can see in the picture, V-Sync is on. I'm just suprised at the crashes to 30 FPS, I don't need more than 60 FPS, I have a 60 Hz monitor

The FX-8350 can struggle in Crysis 3 sometimes.

What is going on in the game when it drops like that? It could just be a ton of detail. What CPU? Is it the 8350 in your sig? In 1080p with your GPU Crysis 3 should average around 50 FPS on a high end CPU.

Yep, I get screen tearing in almost every game when I turn off V-Sync. It actually makes me wonder how do people play without it.
