Hi guys. Today I bought the Asrock 970 Pro3 R2.0 motherboard. I am NOT an overclocker and never will be. I will be running the FX 8350. I am just wanting to know, will this motherboard handle it well at stock speed and also will my motherboard handle the other parts I am putting in my rig well? All my specs are below. Thanks alot. Also would you say this is a good enough rig for gaming on High/Ultra settings at 720P on a 40" Samsung LCD TV? Thanks guys, I appreciate all your input.

Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM
Samsung 840 EVO 120GB SSD
Radeon HD7970
Corsair CX750
AMD FX 8350
8GB (4X2GB) OCZ Reaper HPC 1600Mhz Ram

Yes. That build should be fine, but remember. with AMD 970 chipsets your bios may need an update prior to using Vishera CPUs.

750w is a bit overkill for this build, don't you think? I can't right now but could you find him a 600w one?

For the ram, go with a set of 2 stick that are 4GB each. That way you have less clutter in your case and you leave room for expansion. For the graphics card, the 7970 is an older card, go with a more modern card by getting an R9 2xx series card. Lastly, I'd recommend getting a 250-256GB SSD instead of the 120. You can pick up a 250GB crucial MX ssd for around $85.

750 may be overkill, but it also allows for ocing and what not. If he wont OC, then a 650 watt would be better

Thanks for your reply. Just wondering what's wrong with this power supply? I've already bought it and went a little over budget on this one and considering the EVGA is even more expensive, I don't think ill be able to afford it. Ill be running everything on stock, will this power supply be good enough or is it absolutely crucial that I change it?

It is an EXCELLENT power supply. I just wanted to save you a couple bucks because for your build you don't need something with that high watts. But it is sure upgrade proof! Enjoy.

Dont know if your trying to answer as me or wut, but ok.

Indeed, it is crucial you return it. It's quality is rock bottom. It doesnt even deserve to be in the market.

It fails almost every test, and a cheaper PSU, FPS raider 750, a PSU that is NOT to be used in any system was able to make it through more tests. This shows something. I recommend you return it, and look into the b2, or the capstone from rosewill. The ANtec 750 is also a better option.

While the B2 did have a price increase, there are some other options. Rosewill capstone, XFX 750 watt, Antec 750, all of which are MUCH superior than the corsair.

As HarddOCP said, "Skip the corsair"...
