I have spent a lot of time researching ans choosing parts, some much longer than others. I was just looking for any advice on what to change or if something wont work. This is not a completed build i just want to see what other people think of it. My PC now is due for a upgrade. I have already purchased the power supply as my other is RIP. All i want to know is what i can add or change to make it better, i will will also be overclocking the CPU but need to do research as have never overclocked anything before.

I do like the colour green but did want to go for multicoloured LEDs but i think they are very expensive. (and so are the fans i have selected, so if other fans that are good and multicolorsed or light green i am open to suggestions)

Am very open to suggestions.

im not to sure as when you have the 8th gen i think you have to splash more out for a mother board as well which one would you suggest. (quick reply)

yea you would have to spash more, but if youre willing to spend 3200$, what is another 200$??? go for the best, dont spend so much in a "dead" socket.

about the mobos, there isnt alot of options now, there are a few Z370 models.

haven't got it yet but will be building it over the next year or so i hope XD

consider the 4 x DIMMS, some mobo's have an issue with running 4 populated slots at full speed. You may not be able to get 3600 speeds with 4 installed. So 2 x 16gb if you can get them might be better. Also, if your gaming only, 32gb is way overkill. 16gb would be fine. Won't hurt though :)

thanks and yes i am gaming only. Would you suggest the 7th gen cpu or 8th gen?

I would suggest the 8th (8700k), it's a beast. The 7700k isn't much behind it though on the Z270 platform. The 8700k obvously has 2 more cores and 4 more threads. So resource wise will serve better for multitasking/streaming etc. But they are hard to find right now. That will change in the coming weeks id imagine.

on the ram, even running on Ultra, BF1 and newer games just touch over the 8gb (system ram) usage. So 16gb is plenty if it's just for gaming.

What do you need that many case fans for? You don't want to have too many fans that it recirculates your airflow, that will be bad for overall system performance and longevity. You just want enough fans that it moves air through your case.

I also agree with getting the 8600K / 8700K.

for the case NZXT Phantom 410 .. how many fans do you recommend?

You case cannot even hold that many fans, let alone that your CPU cooler already take up space for 3 fans. You will probably be fine with 2-3 extra fans and you case will also come with pre mounted fans.

yea, now mine is with the noctua + the 3 pre mounted fans (1 top, 1 rear, 1 bottom front) + another at the 1, 1 at the bay, 1 at bottom and another at the hdds.....i put the making the correct airflow, but i didnt know too many fans could cause problems, thats why i asked

In most games nowadays you won't get any benefit from running SLI, so you might as well skip one of the GPUs unless you will use it for rendering.
So if this is for gaming then skip one of the GPUs, stick with 16 GB ram, get 8700K Coffee Lake cpu instead. Skip all those extra fans but a couple and skip the fan controller as you don't need it.

Yeah I've seen people wanting to build cases and spend $200 - $300 on fans. It's a waste and ultimately you can't build them into your case and you'll be stuck with fans you don't have any use for. I always say read the specs on the case you are planning to buy *BEFORE* you go start planning your air flow. If you plan your air flow before you buy, you're gonna have a bad time.

i wasn't planning to use that many fans, hell no, just wanted to know how many fans you think its worth for my case haha

the 7700k runs at 4.2GHZ and the 8700K but can be overclocked higher I presume that's what you do. Does this means that it requires very good water cooler. (Sorry never overclocked before & and haven't done any research yet)

Honestly I'd throw that whole thing out and start over. You have a ton of case fans you don't need and will never use. 2 hybrid cards? Your case won't have the mounts for the coolers. Tool kits and cable mods? Fan controllers? You don't need these things. Same with the junk card reader and the tin can speakers. This is £500 cheaper and cuts out all the junk you don't need.

All of this stuff is completely unnecessary. You don't need it and it will save you a lot of money by not buying things you do not need. You are throwing away £210 here which you could easily save.
