Is this going to be a solid re-build?

How is it going everyone. I am wondering if this is gonna be a pretty solid gaming rig. Any advice or suggestions is welcome.

Just looking for something that is gonna be solid for quite some time. Not looking to future proof as I know that is a loose term. Just looking for something that is gonna last me about as long if not longer that this current build of four years.

I don't think you should upgrade to Ryzen yet if gaming is your main priority. Core i7 4790k still beats Ryzen 1800x in gaming.

So for about 1000$ you are getting a core i7 and Gtx1080ti.
Also wait for Nvidia's Gamescom announcement on Aug 20. They are going to announce next 11 series GPUs and I am pretty sure the upcoming Gtx1180 will beat Gtx1080ti's performance.

This build should last you a long time. If you plan on playing the latest AAA titles, I would recommend getting a gtx 1080TI.

It's primary is gaming but it's not the only thing I'm going to be using it for.
The main reason I want to switch to Ryzen is even though they are releasing new cpu's its the same socket. You don't really have to upgrade your MoBo if you want to upgrade your CPU. So later down the road if the 2700x drops and I can get it at a decent price I can just upgrade right then and there or if they come out with the 2800 series etc.

The graphics card I was planning on waiting until after the new GPU announcements and just picking up a 1080 ti if the price drops enough.
I do really like that Liquid cooler.

What is the resolution and refresh rate of the monitor that are you using? If its resolution is 1440p or higher, then a graphics card upgrade alone would do a lot more for gaming performance than a CPU and platform upgrade. On the other hand, if you are on a 1080p, 60Hz screen, then even a GTX 1080 might be overkill, and you probably wouldn't see that much performance gain from a processor upgrade either.

The monitor is just a 1080p 60hz but down the road by the end of this year or sometime during the beginning of the next year I am going to be upgrading those to dual 1440p one monitor at a time. If I don't end up with dual 1440p I will at least end up with one 1440p The monitor or monitors will come later I'm just trying to get the PC set up itself first to be able to handle that and better handle triple AAA games at higher settings. Right now my PC doesn't handle certain games very well at all. I haven't tried any real demanding games yet either so there is that.

The computer is also used for other stuff I do do some game recording, editing and other stuff at the same time and only have 8gb of ddr3 memory and It is just time to upgrade to DDR4 and get better performance all the way around because there are times where I have a lot of stuff open and my computer will just bog down massively.
