get 6GB of RAM instead of 4GB it seems to be the sweet spot

I heard i3 cpu is not that great for games it is suggested to get at least an i5

not sure about graphics card, I use ATI but 4GB is enough memory onboard check some benchmarks and decide if that one is right for you

otherwise everything else looks ok


I have an i7 940 cpu(from 2007), 6GB of DDR3/1660Mhz ram, and an ATI HD 6990 graphics card and will play any game out there at 1900x1200 resolution and max settings, smooth framerate - if you want to use that as a guidline, buy if you don't mind older hardware today something similar should not be that expensive


 
for that game, everything should be fine except the video card, that video card is not very powerful for gaming and recommended for that game is a 7800GTX which is more powerful even though 4GB of video memory which makes no difference except it can process higher resolutions with less strain, i would get something like a gtx650 or better or if choosing from amd a 6750 or better.

the processor should be fine, seeing as the the recommended specs are calling for a core 2 duo.
