is this good for tv watching wirelessly

Did you check what connections those have and what connections your TV and cable box have? Those wireless video transmitters tend to have image issues at past 30-40 feet and through walls.

If you are looking for HD signal you'd want something like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005H3AU1Y?psc=1 but keep in mind about the range.

There is a wall seperating the tv and signal but the room the signal is coming from is not that far away, and my tv does not have an hdmi input so that's out of the question, anything that can go through walls generally well?

Will work as well as anything else for wireless video in that price range, I never tried those myself so can't say for sure how it will work. Check the reviews and see, but keep in mind that some reviews can be for someone that got the thing for free to do a review.
