i have already ordered asus 280x But coz of parts not available he will be sending me sapphire 280x toxic edition for some more extra bucks. Look at this build And tell me What you think about thi

Solution

For bitmining using two overclocked Sapphire TOXIC R9 280X 3GB GDDR5 cards the Seasonic X-850 (SS-850KM3 Active PFC F3) is not considered to be sufficient.

Heed Sapphire's recommendation of at least 1000 Watts or greater. You should not be continuously drawing over 80% of the PSU's total capacity or you...
dont want to spend much on cpu now. So thought to go with cheaper one. Any other suggestions. Initially thought to go with fx6300. But now it costs me much. Is it good to have it still

Go with this list, if you don't have a problem with budget. Your chosen CPU will bottleneck the GPU's, so I replaced it with this one.

Or you can go with FX-6300. BTW Crossfire never works better, so I would prefer a single powerful GPU.

i can afford fx6300. Not more than that. Is it good to go. If i will buy 8350 Then i have to cut some cost on psu as it looks Heavy to me. Also Why do i need after market cooler for proc

You can look at this thread : http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1847808/problems-crossfire-computers.html

And you could search online to know more and better.

Single R9 280X requires 30 Ampere on +12V rail of a 550W PSU on paper, but actually the card requires 250W on max load. So 750W PSU will be enough for your setup. You can take a look at this PSU, will also save you some money :

Thanks for your reply on Crossfire and Better PSU for lower price..

I have got a few questions based on your suggestions,

Does crossfire affects mining as well?

If not crossfire then what should be the solution for the two R9 280x to work in a better mode? shall i plug those two and leave it as such without crossfire. will it work?

Also, the PSU which you have listed is not available in Indian Online Retailers. Can you please suggest me some in Corsair/Cooler master/Antec/Seasonic which i can find it easily to get it. It should easily work for overclocking the GPU's.

This rig is mainly going to be for Scrypt Based mining purpose and i am not going to play any games in it until it mines...

Maybe after sometime down the line, i would start playing games. So by that time, i would make a better CPU upgrade to this rig.

Each Sapphire TOXIC R9 280X 3GB GDDR5 is going to draw around 335 Watts while bitmining using factory clocks. That's around 670 Watts continuous for the graphics cards only.

I can see why Sapphire recommends a 1000 Watt PSU when using two of those cards. They know that their cards won't only be used for gaming. There will be a high continuous power draw on the PSU during bitmining and you need to allow sufficient capacity to prevent the PSU from being overstressed leading to self-destruction/overheating.

Using gaming power consumption values will lead you to an undersized PSU. Gamers fail to realize that bitmining consumes a lot more power than gaming because the processing load on the GPU is completely different. They also fail to realize that CrossFire isn't used.

So for Mining purpose, Can you please confirm that the CrossFire and the PSU (http://pcpartpicker.com/part/seasonic-power-supply-x850) that I have mentioned in the parts should be good.

I see in reviews that overclocking this card draws more power like more than 450W. I believe that there wont be much power left with the listed PSU to output it if i OC these two cards for mining. In this case Wat would happen. Please advise.

As ko888 said you need more power for mining, so your chosen PSU will do it. And I always prefer a single powerful card. Yes you can operate the cards separately without crossfire. But what will you benefit from that ? If you don't need the second card then sell it.

For PSU's, don't go with CM's, most of their PSU's are crap, but not all, and try to avoid Corsairs CX, VS, series.

Heed Sapphire's recommendation of at least 1000 Watts or greater. You should not be continuously drawing over 80% of the PSU's total capacity or you risk drastically shortening the life of the PSU or risk triggering its thermal protection circuit.

If the PSU is unable to supply sufficient power or if the PSU's thermal protection is triggered then the whole system will shut down.

CrossFire isn't being used. The GPUs are not rendering images.

Solution

I think i have to replace the PSU to be at the safer side and i believe that this new chosen PSU won't be a overkill based on the usage for my rig is going to be ..So i have chosen a one here (I don't see it in PCPARTPICKER, so i have copied the link) http://www.ebay.in/itm/SEASONIC-1050W-POWER-SUPPLY-80-GOLD-SS-1050XM-/121163109789?pt=IN_Computer_Components&hash=item1c35e2559d.

Can you please look into it and let me know is this a good to go...also i have updated the part lists..http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2JsBv

The Seasonic X-Series X-1050 (SS-1050XM Active PFC F3) is an excellent choice.

but the one with 1000w is platinum and the other one 1050w is gold..what is the actual difference betweenthese two..what are the benefits in the performance ratio? FYI, Both comes with the same price in my country .
