Is this a good PC for streaming / gaming? i5 4690k, gigabyte gaming z97x-gaming 5, 960 EVGA GTX , 16 DDR3, Samsung 850 ssd , 1 tb WD blue

It's a little unbalanced for a gaming build. I would spend much less on the cpu and much more on the video card. You could easily get an i5 4590 + H97 motherboard + GTX970 for about the same price that would be much much better.
