So I want to get the GTX 770 (I know its old now but its a good price for me) and I wanted to see if it was compatible with my motherboard I read alot online and some websites said almost every motherboard is compatible with every GPU some didn't and i got confused so asking here is my next best bet. If the motherboard isn't compatible are there any motherboards you know about which are?

GPU:
(I know it says its 400 odd pounds but im getting second hand for much cheaper)

Your graphics card should be fully backwards compatible with your motherboard.

Graphics card is PCIE 3.0
Motherboard is PCIE 2.0

I thought there was an issue with some PCI-E 3.0 cards only being compatible with PCI-E 2.1 motherboards, but I can't seem to find anything on it anymore.

Edit:
The question I have would be if the power supply in your computer is enough for the new graphics card.
