Is this GPU compatible with this computer?

Not in that size, no. That appears to be a low profile desktop chassis. If so, it needs a low-profile version of the GTX 750 Ti. And it needs to be single width. That computer is not really a good design to handle an aftermarket gfx card due to its PCIe x16 slot placement.

So are you saying I should look for another computer or just another graphics card? Sorry, I'm new to all these computer terms but thanks for the response.

If you want to game on an old PC, look for a tower or mid-tower design. Not a low profile desktop. Mid-towers are the easiest to install equipment into. And stay away from the Dell Optiplex 780 line. That model uses a backwards BTX motherboard design with poor PCIe x16 slot placement that does not allow a good selection of gfx cards to be used.

Thanks that helps a ton! Would this be a better option http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fast-Dell-Tower-Desktop-Computer-PC-Core-2-Quad-2-6Ghz-6GB-500GB-Windows-10-64-/331259631811?hash=item4d209cd8c3:g😛LQAAOSweWVXf7ev ? And Could I install the same http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX750TI-1GB-DDR5-192Bit-PCI-Express-Video-Graphics-Card-US-/262844559418?hash=item3d32c1b03a:g:VrgAAOSwx6pYnC1S gpu?

I plan on playing games like cs: go and g-mod but possibly some of the CoD games or GTA not really sure. Have any suggestions of what I should do? thanks

I can't ell w/o seeing the inside of it or the back of it. It looks like it might be another BTX motherboard design tho.

Are there any good gfx cards that are compatible with the BTX motherboard design or are they not worth it?

It's not the BTX board design itself that is the problem, it is the fact that Dell chose to place the PCIex16 slot in the location they did on their BTX boards. This pic below will show you a typical Dell BTX board system and where the PCIe x16 slot is located. Because the gfx card lays with its widest part facing up (in the picture), 2-slot wide cards will not fit because there is no neighboring expansion slot cover available for the other half of the card. And even most single-slot wide cards run into the I/O ports obstructions next to the slot.

Do you already have the Optiplex 780?

No not yet I am just looking for the right PC to start off with do you have any suggestions what I should start with that will allow me to install a new gfx card?

If you want a pre-built that is usually pretty inexpensive and easily found, and one that has room for expansion and can still game respectably, look for one of the Dell Workstations with a 4 or 6 core Xeon. The Precision 3500 is a common line found at decent prices and is solidly made. Heavy, in fact. Here are some examples from ebay since that is where you posted from originally: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=dell+precision&_sop=15&LH_ItemCondition=1000%7C1500%7C2000%7C3000&LH_BIN=1&_osacat=171957&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR1.TRC0.A0.H0.Xdell+precision+3500.TRS0&_nkw=dell+precision+3500&_sacat=171957
They also have a BTX board design, but have the PCIex16 slot(s) in a better location for use of better gfx cards. What is your max budget?

$400 MAX. I would like to keep in the $200s but it's fine if it goes a bit over I don't want to invest too much I am just trying it out. If I like it I will upgrade in the future. Also someone suggest this computer... http://www.ebay.com/itm/332160442110?rmvSB=true should this be one I should consider?
