Good day!
I recently came across this video card - AMD Radeon 6790 HD 1GB GDDR5 VRAM
It's sold for 60 leva (around 32.5 us dollars).
My PC is old:
Motherboard: Asus p5kpl\1600 https://www.asus.com/bg/Motherboards/P5KPL1600/
CPU: Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E5300 2.60Ghz
RAM: 4GB running on dual channel (3.5 GB usable)
Graphics: AMD Radeon r7 240
OS: Windows 8.1
I'm most likely not gonna buy a new gaming pc soon, so I'm stuck with this toaster for some more time.
I asked the seller to take a screenshot of the desktop while the card is plugged in his pc, so i'm sure it works, i'll upload the pic here. The question is, is it worth bying it? In theory, the r7 240 is a lot worse than this card. Also i know the CPU is gonna become a bottleneck. I had planned to buy a Core 2 Duo e8400 or a Core2 Quad 9300/9400, which should be ok for this GPU. After that the only problem would become the RAM, which, unfortunately, i won't be able to upgrade, since the MOBO only supports 4 GB. But yet, i have never tried overclocking, and since i think the MOBO supports overclocking, I might try to tweak it a little.
Is this video card worth trying out, and is this whole little upgrade meaningful?

Thank you!
