Is this graphics card compatible with PSU?

I do not know if the Power Supply is compatible with this card. I heard that the card needs 24A on a 12V rail and the closest thing I see to that is +3.3V@22A, +5V@25A, +12V1@18A, +12V2@18A, -12V@0.5A, +5Vsb@2.5A (This is listed on the power supply)

I appreciate anyone who helps me on this.

That PSU should work for that card but I wouldn't recommend it. I'd get a higher quality 350+ watt unit, like this one:

That 24A is the total system requirement not the card power alone. While you might be able to run the card by using one rail for the Vid card and the other for the CPU and peripherals, you should consider a larger PSU for this card as you're nearing or at the limit of the PSU rail for the Vid card.

Seasonic and PC Power and Cooling would be my first choices in PSUs.

The card itself needs 120w, the rest of your system needs 150-200w (I have no idea what you're running, but 200w is overly generous), and the PSU you listed can't be trusted for 500w, not by a long shot.

You might want to think about the future also..... what if you plan on going SLI? you would require another Power Supply later. so don't forget about that.

I do not plan on going SLI anytime with that computer. I checked the reviews on the 500W PSU and it was horrible. The 600W one is a bit more pleasing but less people reviewed. What the PSU calculator asks is what CPU, Video card, HD's, how much RAM, what size fans, etc. Then it calculates the PSU wattage.

I noticed some of the fans when installed will be facing the top of the computer case. Will it have any effect if it is installed that way? Im pretty sure the fans are supposed to be facing the bottom of the case so it can intake the hot air.

Fans on the top and back typically blow the hot air out. Fans on the front and sides typically blow cool air in. Some folks do it differently but this seems to be the best airflow for most cases.

The fan I am planning to get has a fan on the top... The stickers on the PSU is right side up and the fan is on top of it. So installing it would make the fan touch up against the top of my case. Would the fan function properly thats my question. I don't want to buy it and have to return it because of this problem.

If it really touches the top that would be a problem i think. Imo you need at least a centimeter to get an good airflow. I've got a CM GX 750, it has the fan downwards. When you want one with the fan downwards you'll just have to take a closer look at all the pictures, alltough they are photographed with the fan facing up, you can see the sticker facing downwards. Thanks for the award. But maybe stay away from the 800W, i've been reading some reviews on the bottom of the site now and they are not so good actually. Anyway, you have an idea what to look for.
