Hey,

I am building myself a gaming PC and I need to get a graphics card good enough to play ESO.
I have read the recommended specs for ESO and have seen it state 'Video Card: Direct X 11 compliant video card with 2GB of RAM (NVIDIA® GeForce® 560 Ti / ATI Radeon™ 6950 or better)'. Does this mean http://www.dabs.com/products/gigabyte-geforce-gt-610-810mhz-2gb-pci-express-2-0-x16-hdmi-8WBB.html?refs=4294944469-55120000-42740000&q=560&src=16 would be good enough?

The other components I have right now are an i7 processor, 2x4gb RAM (does that mean I have 8gb RAM?) and a Maximus VII Ranger motherboard.

Solution

2x4 = 8gb ram yes.

a 610 is magnitudes slower than a 560 ti.

You should be looking at least at a gtx 750 ti, or 260x from amd...

In modern gpu terms.

Thanks for the responses. I am wanting one to be able to play that specific game, and will upgrade when funds are available, so I wanted a cheap one to be able to play the game until then. The only components I have at the moment are the ones I posted above so I need to be able to fund everything else. To be honest, I don't want to spend more than £400 on the rest of the stuff including the graphics card.
