For christmas im updating my fiancee PC, all she does is play the Sims 3 and it is buggy and slow and she always complains about it.

Anyways here are her specs.

  • MOBO: Gigabyte - GA-P55A-UD4P ATX LGA1156 Motherboard
    CPU: Intel - Core i5-760 2.8GHz Quad-Core Processor
    Memory: Corsair - 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1333 Memory
PSU: Cooler Master - eXtreme Power Plus 500W ATX Power Supply
    GPU: geforce GT 730
Storage: SanDisk - SSD PLUS 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (OS and the sims 3 on here)
Storage: Hitachi - Travelstar Z7K500 500GB 2.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (photos, videos, etc.)

As you can see her GPU is pretty bad, so im was going to put in a new GPU.

Im looking at The Sims 3 GPUs to see which cards work well

I have been thinking about the GTX 1050 or maybe the GTX 1050 ti version. Wanted some feedback and what cards yall might think will make her be able to run on ultra.

Thanks in advance.

Question from arbiterrecon : "good GPU for this build?"

Any current video card will allow her to play that card on ultra. The best video card which does not require any thing from the powersupply is the 1050ti, but a 1050 should also help her out if the TI is a stretch on the budget..
