So I'm planning to build a gaming/video editing PC. My processor is probably going to be the i7-4770k. This is the graphics card I was looking to get:

This one caught my eye because it has a lot of VRAM and the price is well within my budget. Do you guys think this would be overkill? Is this even a good graphics card to get?

First of all,
The GTX 760 will not go through max settings on everything. It will struggle with big title games like Battlefield 4 at Ultra. Look, it's a good Graphics card but a low end 700 series card. If you want something nice I'd suggest the Gigabyte Phantom GTX770. Alternatively you could go what I have gone and get a GTX 780Ti which you need to keep in the back of your mind, I will keep this card for at least three - four years. It's an amazing graphics card.

In conclusion I would say no, that card is not overkill. It's a 'standard' graphics card with extra juice. I'd go a GTX 770, more CUDA!!!!

Hope this helps.
I have a similar card and love it. I can blow through any game at max settings at 1080. It stays cool and quiet even when playing demanding titles. You could go cheaper but this card is amazing. You could go with a 780ti, but I think that is overkill. At this time I don't recommend AMD because of the over inflated prices and the heat/noise issues.
