Right now i have the hd 4670 512mb GDDR3 and i am very impressed with it since i paid 25 bucks for it, im wanting to buy the hd 7770, is it a good improvment, keep in mind im not rich im building an entry level computer,

my specs are

AMD FX 6300
4GB 1600mhz DDR3
HD 4670 (soon to be HD 7770)

Oh i want to play games like planetside 2, bf3 maybe some other games like that, i already can play planetside 2 on 720p low setting never seing below 30 fps but i want to try med or maybe a mix med and high with no shadows and AA

NO NO NO, gpu boss is shit. You must look at fps comparisons to tell the actual performance.

This would be preferable:

The 4670 is a bit slower than a 5670, and a 7770 is a bit better than a 6850.

A 7770 has roughly three times the power of a 4670.

Something that provides all of the stats for each card is shit... Ok then!

Yes, stats are meaningless when both companies use entirely different architectures.

Actual fps comparisons in games is the only way to gauge relative performance.

On that note I shall stop using it. I couldn't find a site which had FPS comparisons.

Thanks for the info.

im buying a used card from ebay, its quite small, the one im a very expirenced buyer so i know what im doing, my hd 4670 i bought there and it works great, i think ill just go with the hd 7770, what is the nivida version of the 7770

There isn't a Nivida version of the 7770, it's made by AMD. Do you mean the equivalent?
