[SOLVED] Is this harddrive shot

i have a seagate passport 1tb external drive. Everytime I plug it in windows says there are errors on the disc and it needs to be scanned and repaired. I do that each time and it says the hd has been repaired. I can use it as normal then until the next time I unplug and plug back in and I get the error warning again.

There is only a minimal amount of space used on the drive. I have reformatted it a few times and also defragged a few times with no change.

Im just curious why this is occuring and if you think this drive shot?

Try CristalDiskInfo (ZIP version) to check the health of the drive.
You could also use Seagate SeaTools for Windows to checks the health and diagnose any issues with your drive.
