Is this is a good budget gaming build?

I'm looking to build a new gaming rig for $500, and I've done tons of research and this is what I've come up with for $500. I couldn't get much out of $500 because newegg.ca charges so much shipping and tax in canada is expensive. In the cart its only $410 but after shipping and taxes its $490.

By the looks of it, most of what you've got there is pretty solid. I might consider looking into other PSUs, instead of the Raidmax. That's a personal call though, I just don't trust them as much as some other companies. Also, consider 1333 RAM as it may save you some money and the bandwidth of the RAM is much less important than the timings for the most part. Lastly, I would switch the 450 to a 6790 or even a 6770. The GTS 450 is just not very cost effective for the most part and does not perform as well as it should for the price.

One thing to keep your eye open for is the combo deals on Newegg.ca, especially with the CPU, tower and Mobo. You'll find you can save 10-30 pretty easily. Unfortunately Newegg.ca does seem to be the best we can do here in Canada. Tigerdirect can't match their prices because of overhead costs, NCIX isn't big enough and Canadian Computers only has the best deals in store.

I'm ordering a 1500.00 computer from Newegg.ca in about a week and a half and I'm paying close to 300.00 in taxes and shipping. So my 1500.00 all of the sudden costs me 1800.00.
