Is this list of hardware compatible?

I was given a free desktop by a friend and I want to upgrade it. But as I am new to building (Rebuilding?) PC's I am not completely familiar with compatibility.

Current Specs:
Case: Thermaltake Soprano Dx
Motherboard: H67H2-AD(SN) Micro ATX LGA 1155
CPU: i5 2300 Sandy Bridge
GPU: GT420 1GB
HDD: WD10EARS-22Y5B1 1tb 5400RPM HDD
Disk Drives: Blu Ray and CD drive
PSU: Bestec ATX0300H5W 300W

Upgrades:
GPU: Gigabyte Wind force AMD R9 270

The main thing I'm worried about is whether there are enough cables for the PSU and whether the GPU fits inside.

Other hardware options must be by mwave, umart online or pccasegear. I am in Brisbane Australia.
