I saw a guy selling the macbook pro 17 inch mid 2009 for $90 us dollars, and he said its fully functional and it has 8gb ram and 128gb ssd and 500gb hdd. Is it too good to be true, is this a scam and should I buy it?

Heres the image of the MacBook.

Check the price of similar items on E-Bay. $90 is below market. Other units like this sold for $200.
The language is obviously configured for non-English.

Buyer beware.

I agree - buyer beware.

That said, I have a 13" 2010 MBP, originally with a 240? GB hard disk and 4Gb RAM that I have upgraded to 500 SSD + the original disk and 8Gb RAM that works really fine, it's the family's backup Mac.

This Mac's keyboard looks to have American layout and the OS language isn't too har do change.

In the end you decide if you want to gamble, all depends on how much you'll miss the 90 bucks if it is a scam :).
